Abstract

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, with early detection being pivotal for improving survival rates and reducing treatment costs. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a revolutionary tool in oncology, leveraging advanced algorithms to enhance diagnostic precision, predict cancer risks, and personalise treatments. This paper delves into AI’s applications in early cancer diagnosis, exploring its role in imaging, biomarker analysis, and real-time monitoring. Additionally, it discusses India-specific advancements and global trends, along with the challenges of implementing AI in diverse healthcare systems. By addressing ethical, technical, and infrastructural barriers, this research underscores the transformative potential of AI in revolutionising cancer care. By integrating advanced AI technologies, healthcare systems can achieve global equity in cancer care, ensuring early diagnosis and improved patient outcomes.
