Abstract

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers have long been recognized for their versatility and widespread applications, particularly in textiles and composites. However, to meet the evolving demands of modern industries, enhancing their mechanical properties has become imperative. Surface modification with graphene oxide (GO) emerges as a promising avenue in this pursuit. This review delves into the recent advancements in the field, elucidating the mechanisms behind the augmentation of PET fibers through GO surface modification and exploring the multifaceted impacts on mechanical performance.
