<p style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;">Agri-tourism has emerged as an innovative approach to strengthen rural economies by integrating agriculture with tourism, particularly in <span class="whitespace-normal">Kerala</span> where cooperative models play a significant role. This study examines the development of agri-tourism through agricultural cooperative societies under the <span class="whitespace-normal">Kerala Cooperative Tourism</span> framework, highlighting its potential for promoting rural empowerment, income generation, and sustainable development.</p> <p style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;">Based on secondary research, the paper analyzes operational models, supply chain coordination, and financial mechanisms such as microfinance that support agri-tourism initiatives. It also explores the role of technological and optimization strategies in improving efficiency and resource utilization. The findings suggest that cooperative-based agri-tourism can enhance rural livelihoods and regional development, provided there is effective coordination, equitable benefit distribution, and supportive policy frameworks.</p>Dr.Muhammed Anas.B Dr. Sini.V

<p><span class="whitespace-normal">Kerala</span>, known as “God’s Own Country,” is a major hub for beach tourism, supported by its scenic coastline and rich cultural heritage. The state has also gained recognition for its cooperative tourism models that promote community participation and inclusive development. However, increasing challenges such as climate change, coastal erosion, and socio-economic shifts threaten the sustainability of these sectors.</p> <p>This study adopts a secondary research approach to examine beach tourism and cooperative tourism in Kerala, focusing on their opportunities, limitations, and interaction with climate-related issues. The findings highlight the need for integrated, climate-responsive strategies, sustainable practices, and effective governance to ensure long-term resilience. It highlights how cooperative-based Ayurveda initiatives contribute to sustainable development, healthcare accessibility, and regional economic growth.
