Abstract

Modern companies produce huge amounts of structured and unstructured data every second through digital sales, websites, mobile applications, enterprise ERP systems, social platforms, and IoT hardware. Having access to this continuous flow of data has completely changed how leaders understand their customers, plan budgets, manage inventory, and assess operational health. Data science provides a practical, systematic way to turn these massive data pools into dependable guidance for real-world business choices.

For a long time, traditional management depended mostly on personal experience, gut feeling, monthly static reports, and limited sample surveys. While human intuition remains essential for creative vision and leadership, intuition alone is vulnerable to cognitive biases and incomplete information. Data-Driven Decision Making (DDDM) balances managerial experience with factual evidence drawn from historical patterns and live system streams. Empirical research shows that analytics capabilities significantly boost organizational agility, execution speed, and overall performance.
