Machine Learning Recommendation System for an Accurate Prediction of packages offered to students of Technical Institute

Abstract

This paper explains the concept of recommendation systems and how we can use them in different areas according to our preferences. In today’s world, recommendation systems are being used everywhere. The researcher have applied the recommendation system in college placement database. This model will help the authors to understand students’ preferences and assist them in their career. The researchers have used this model on the placement cell’s student database of PCTE Institute of Engineering & Technology. Based on the students’ preferences, it will recommend companies to them according to their desired domain, package, and location. This model will help the students as well as the training and placement team of the Institute. It will also assist in making accurate predictions by analyzing the results obtained. Through this, the researchers will understand the students’ choices, such as the domain to be opted by the students of placement cell depending upon their area of specialization and based on their location preferences, the system can recommend companies to them. The researcher use the algorithm for analysis the data and using recommendation system.
