Peace and Harmony Education Curriculum: A Pathway to a Sustainable Future
Abstract
In a society dominated by social instability and conflict, the importance of peace and harmony education curricula has expanded enormously. This review paper investigates the critical role of peace education in promoting a more egalitarian and cooperative global society. The concept of peace education is defined, with an emphasis on its congruence with larger educational goals. The essay assesses the influence of peace-oriented curriculum on students using empirical research and case studies, stressing their ability to foster conflict resolution skills, empathy, compassionate attitudes. The authors propose practical ideas for incorporating peace education into existing curricula and fostering inclusive learning environments. The role of teacher education, professional development, educational institutions in peacebuilding is also investigated.
