Abstract

This paper presents the fundamentals of Jain philosophy and the most important ideas of Jain philosophy. These ideas are very useful in the present context, when sustainability is the most important agenda item for the world. The present economic policies are not suitable. There is a need to revisit the economic policies suggested by Teerthankar Mahavir, which may help every country follow sustainable development.
