Abstract

The neo-liberal economic policies have brought significant changes in the traditional roles of public sector as an employment provider and tradition role of trade union as a collective bargainer. The collective organisational power of the public sector trade unions have been reduced to decentralised-firm level bargaining after the process of individualizing the employment relations (Farnham D and Pimlott J, 1995; ) in the neo- liberal economy throughout the world. Nevertheless, it is complete misconception to assume the end of trade Unionism, following new the process of individualizing the employment relations because at the firm level decentralised strength still prevailing with the public sector trade unions.
