Terrorism as a Jeopardizing Factor in International Peace and Collective Security

Abstract

International peace and the world order are inseparably linked with the inter relationship of nations, how individual nation play out different international roles and define them in the world community. While conflicts stem from a variety of factors it is always hoped that an amicable solution will be reached at and the risks of armed conflict or exaggeration into a warfare would be averted. Terrorism or rather the purposeful initiation of violence rationalized through some pre supposed aim plays a very detrimental role in the world peace while terrorism in itself has no religion or nationality of its own and is equally condemned by nations alike the perpetrators of this act do belong to a particular country and the onus comes upon them to defend themselves when faced with accusations. This paper attempts to analyze terrorism and how it plays out in the international sphere. The author aims to create an analytical study on this topic and heavily relies on available doctrinal literature.
