Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is intricately shaping the future of work, presenting a dual challenge and opportunity landscape. While concerns about job displacement arise due to AI’s automation of tasks, it also fosters new industries and job opportunities, demanding a revaluation of traditional career paths. This paper thoroughly examines AI’s impact on job displacement, reskilling strategies, and emerging employment opportunities. It underscores the need for proactive policies to ensure a sustainable and equitable transition. Emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning and addressing social implications, the paper advocates collaborative efforts among governments, businesses, and educational institutions to harness AI’s transformative power for a more productive, prosperous, and equitable future of work.
