Abstract

Storage Area Network(SAN) – The research paper contains seven phases in which we have tried to explain the methodology of SAN and client server model with its security aspects. In the phase one, two and three explains the functionality of SAN and other technologies that is used in the storage area and make comparison between them, the performance factor in SAN to figure out who to improve the performance of domain controller and workstation and security solutions aim enhance the storage and security level in SAN. The phase fourth and fifth works on the background working methodology of this model as how it works and what is the procedure behind this architecture. It focuses on storage and reduce cost factor with various RAID levels. It discusses the domain installation and services which makes comparison between the performance elements of the SAN protocols and on the performance of the system. Phase Six contributes with FSRM set of configurations with set of policies. Chapter six contributes with set of conclusions made by the project in SAN.
