Abstract

This paper presents the calculations for the linear synchronous permanent magnet motor's static field parameters. Mathematical analysis has been done to determine how the temperature during construction affects the parameters. Models for calculating magnetic and thermal fields have been developed. NdFeB and SmCo, two types of permanent magnets, have been taken into consideration. The finite element technique (FEM) has been used to determine the distribution of the thermal field.
