Multiband Fractal Patch Antenna for Wireless Applications
Abstract
This paper presents rectangular shaped multiband fractal patch antenna for various wireless applications. The proposed geometry generates six frequency bands at 1.56GHz, 3.1GHz, 3.54GHz, 4.04GHz, 4.56GHz and 4.96GHz. The antenna design consists of FR4_epoxy material with dielectric constant of 4.4, height 1.6 mm. Design and simulations are carried out using high frequency structural simulator (HFSS) software. Simulation results show that the antenna can be used in different frequency ranges exhibiting multiband properties. Radiation pattern and directivity characteristics are also analyzed.
