Application of Laplace Transform for Solving the Problems of Chemical Kinetics

In this paper, the authors evaluate the utility of the Laplace transform in determining solutions for foundational chemical kinetics equations. Specifically, the study addresses the challenges of calculating concentration profiles for both zero-and first-order reactions. The results demonstrate that the Laplace transform serves as an exceptionally efficient integral transform, delivering exact and closed-form solutions by completely bypassing tedious mathematical derivations.
